Why Did Jesus Come To The Earth?

Jesus was not an imaginary person. He really lived as a man on earth. “In ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the [actual existence] of Jesus,” notes the Encyclopædia Britannica. So just who was Jesus? Was he really sent by God? Why is he so well known?

It because no one has told you what to look for, the Bible gives a detailed description of what conditions will be like on earth at the time God will intervene. It says clearly that a number of outstanding things will be seen by one generation of people and that the very generation that sees this ‘sign’ will also see the end of wickedness and the start of a peaceful new world. (Matthew 24:3)

So sad for you,but the Bible do say “Faith is not a possession of all people.”—2 Thess. 3:

When Jehovah’s Witnesses made their many attempts to predict the end of times it appears that no one told them what to look for either – but it didn't teach them that listening to other men is a mistake. All those false prophets, and still none of you heed the warning.

If the idea of judgment day frightens you, why not examine what the Bible is says about it?

Jesus himself did not want to preach and prophesy to no purpose. He did not want his warning to be in vain for his disciples, when he said to them: “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.

Having just spent the last 30 minutes reading through this thread and having a good laugh, I have realised that the original question hasn't really been answered.

So, for those who are really interested, and I am sure Goodlife is, I will give my tenpenn'th.

If you read John 18 v 33 -37 you will see that Jesus himself said that he came to the earth to bear witness to truth. He also came to preach the good news of God's Kingdom. This Kingdom is the one we all pray for in the Our Father. - see Matthew 6 v 9 & 10.
