Why is it that whenever I have to leave a message on someones answer-phone thingy I turn into a wreck [my mind goes blank] and I spout a lot of nonsense....Does this happen to anyone else?

Lol, this made me laugh. No matter how many times I make calls, I'm always surprised to get an answer message and swiftly hang up, I then have to rehearse what I need to say and redial, then I promptly balls it up.

hi cupid - well I was a nervous wreck up to a dozen times on my answer machine & that was just the pre recording on my own phone for people to leave a message for me!!!

I really don't like phone conversations. In fact, if the house phone rings I don't answer it because I know the call probably isn't for me. If my cell phone rings I'll answer it...most of the time. I never leave messages. Looking at my cell call history, most calls are less then two minutes in duration; many of them less than a minute.
