Nope, but im off to Pentewen which is about oooo half hour away from it.

What's happening in Newquay?

Its like the Ibiza of Britain. Just a bunch of young folk drinking and having fun. Oh, the surfing championships are on too i think.

When are they on? I'm that way in the 1st 2 weeks in Aug.

You're lucky. Its the first week in August. Think its on Fistral Beach.
I just miss it as I'm there last week in July.

it's really fun and has a really good atmosphere through the whole of summer but expect to be met with loooads of underagers coming down after exams. i live 10 mins away so can escape when the crowds get a bit too much :D in july there's the quiksilver grommet surf contest and the rip curl boardmasters is end of july-start of august
