If you like walking take a hike around Towan Headland across Fistral Beach to Pentire Headland down to the Fern Pit Cafe and onto the estuary of the River Gannel and head for Crantock. Nice little village a few pubs and eateries. Tide will be out most of the day. Have a look at Trenance Gardens & Boating Lake. Take a walk towards the River Gannel from there. Go and have a look around the harbour there is also an aquarium near by.
Head for the town centre if you want to go to Weatherspoons, KFC, Burger King, Poundland, Costa, Argos etc. or if you want to buy anything to do with surfing or get tattooed or pierced. Or if you want any ideas for your Hen/Stag night.

When I met my partner (who is from the North of England) 7 years ago he asked me what people in Cornwall do to enjoy themselves.
I kitted him out in a wetsuit, borrowed the kids body board and off we went surfing. He loves it. He was 48 at the time.
I started surfing as a child on Fistral it's where I grew up.
Hope you find the nice bits of Newquay it is really lovely if you know where to go.
