I know this might seem impossible but here goes
I would like a pair of headphones for my mum to put on her head and watch tv - That's all - no wifi, no attaching to her hearing aid - she will take that out.
Does such a thing exist and do they have them at Argos or on Amazon

TIA

Yes, you can get them from Argos, and they are wonderful.

You plug a connection box into your TV, or digibox if you have one, and then tune them in to the signal.

Replacing the headphones on the deck recharges the batteries.
The best I have tried are are Sennheiser HDR 170 from John Lewis and others. With the base unit plugged into the telly or radio headphone socket, you can wander all round the house and garden with perfect sound.
Like these (there may be others at lower prices, worth a search) -

Does your mum live alone? If not, there may be a problem if her tv has only one sound tuner - plugging headphones in will mute the tv speakers.
