Conferance Pear Tree Woes

i have two conference pear trees,and they are about 4 years old,this year we had hundreds of little pears on one tree only,BUT they went black and fell/blew off ????? any advice please,

Could also possibly be 'fire blight', which is a bacterial disease, details of this can also be found on the RHS site.
