Our neighbours have gone away and a couple have just turned up in a car with a strange number plate.

They have the keys and have just taken in a load of shopping. My guess is that the neighbours have let the house whilst on holiday


The registration number is just a series of numbers 19860. It's a left hand drive car. Where are they from?

Wendi, I can't go over and knock at the door and say, 'Who are you?' I'll give it a few days and see if I can catch them, out in the garden. Surely, they will water the garden.

Hi Tilly I didn't mean to be as blunt as that . Just say that you were concerned as you knew they were on holiday . Ask if they needed any help as where to go for outings if they are from France or wherever .

They have found Sainsbury's. They brought loads of bags back with them.

I imagine that the neighbours have left a file for them with details of all the places of interest.

When my neighbours go away they always let us know and tell us who will look after their property etc we check for them water their plants etc, how well do you know your neighbours do they let you know what is happening when they are away

We let either side know when we are away. We don't tell the people across the road.

Luxembourg registration plates sometimes only have numbers and the car will be left-hand-drive. Is there a small letter "L" at the edge of the number plate?

Didn't realise they were across the road so that is there business if you are not acquainted with them you are as you say just being nosy!!
