can someone please tell me the author of this piece of poetry please, when prone I lay me down to die ,then sigh,
sigh not at the death of me,
death has but eased my pain,
sigh at the tragedy,
I loved thee in vain.

INTO my heart on air that kills From yon far country blows: What are those blue remembered hills, What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content, I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went And cannot come again.

A. E. Housman
INTO my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?

That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.
I was going to answer this. But then I read the poem, courtesy of svejk and I don't need to. I feel all weepy.
