My mother in law has moved into a care home. She has given notice on her housing association house which still has 3 weeks to run. There is still stuff in her house - rubbish mainly that we have to get cleared.
I went there to pick up some post, and there's a car parked in her drive!
it looked a bit new/nice to have been dumped and i looked inside and there were things int there - glasses on the day, car seat and a bag of stuff (couldn't quite see exactly what was in it but there was a brand new blind poking out the top of the bag.
I knocked both the neighbours, who weren't in.
What can i do?

Phone the police? They can contact the owner quickly and ask them to move it?

parking on the drive ?

blimey I thought someone had moved in !

leave it - shows the house is occupied and so the rubbish wont get stolen
Did you phone the housing association?
A neighbours friend probably, knowing she had moved out, being a cheeky *** as you say. But it was likely to be a one off chance parking opportunity.

I would do nothing.
As chikispirit says, ask the housing association. They should know and have contact numbers.
I wouldnt be that bothered myself. It makes the house look occupied.
Do you think these people are in the process of moving in? Contact the HA first thing in the morning (no doubt your MIL has paid for the next three weeks).
If it were me, and there were gates on the drive, I'd have padlocked it in.

no gates on the drive - yes she is still paying rent and tenancy does not end til mid aug. i don't want to do nothing - if someone HAS dumped it , i'll need to get it moved. Aslo we need to park there to do the house clearance
