Can anyone tell me how I can spruce up my grey floor grout? It's looking very manky right now. The grout itself is a plain cement grey colour. The 300mm ceramic tiles are an alternate pattern of plain black and plain white.

I've done some searching on the internet but people seem to use everything from dilute hydrochloric acid to a mix of baking soda/lemon juice/vinegar. What works for you. I really don't mind having to scrub them with something!

Thank you.

I got good results with similar coloured grout using a steam cleaner with nothing else.
Good luck.
You could try bleach as long as the tiles wont be affected, or maybe a wire brush.
brush them with a stiiff broom and Cillit Bang. I use a Vax 3-in-1 vacuum cleaner with hard head to suck up the excess fluid. Works a treat. The Vax is also great for carpet spills using cold water.

Thank you all.
I would be very careful with Cillit Bang - marked my dark brown tiles with this and it didn't do much for the grout either. I would use a steam cleaner if possible.
maybe. If it damaged your tiles you have recourse through the retailer. Any cheap cleaner will do. The vax is great on hard floors and carpet spills. only about £50. I would not be without it.
