Setting Google As My Home Page

I'm using Safari on my iPad and I recently updated to the newest iOS thing. When I open a new page to search for something the whole page is blank - I used to open up the page and google was there - how do I get it back? (I have no idea what I've done to it.)

If you want the ggogle icon to appear when you open safari you have to save it (or any other page) to your favourites. So to set a favourite you need to tap the book icon at top left tap favourites. Tap edit at the bottom and type in the page/site you want. An icon will then appear when you open safari
