Hi, does anyone have recommendations for a basic smart phone (payg) for a more mature person who is not very technologically minded ? Mother currently has a basic push button mobile but it needs replacing. A very important point is that she wears a hearing aid, and it seems that some technology/phones etc are not compatible or work properly for hearing aid users. Many thanks.

These smart phones from Action on Hearing Loss (which is the trading name of the Royal National Institute for Deaf People) are 'hearing aid compatible'. As they're not locked to any network, they can be used with any PAYG SIM:

bond....are you sure she needs a smartphone? Could you not just replace the one she is used to with a newer model?
