I was at my sister's house last night when my niece came home. She had been at a pub Quiz Night with a few friends. She asked us a few of the questions that they had struggled with, when she came up with this gem: "which famous opera singer died on the same day as Marc Bolan"?
"Maria Callas", I replied. "no, it was a bloke. I can't remember his name". Definitely Maria Callas, I argued
"Dur!!!! Definitely a bloke" she responded. She couldn't remember his name, so she phoned her mate. "Told you it was a bloke," she said "Mark Ellis"
I give up.
Just noticed this in related topics. In a quiz a few years ago, we were told that our answer was wrong because it was Edward the Second and we'd written Edward the eleventh.
