Ipad Question

I have safari but I deleted google Mail from my iPad and now safari won't come up .Every time I click on safari what ever I have been into previous comes up .i can still,access google . Any help would be appreciated but not too technical please .i would just like safari back .many thanks for any help

Quite a coincidence, Wendi. I've just done exactly the same thing.

Hold the sleep (side button) and the home button down simultaneously for a few seconds until the screen goes black, and the Apple logo appears.

It's a hard reset. Let it come back to life and try Safari again.

Is internet working on other Apps? (Youtube/BBC iplayer or similar?)

W try clearing Safari history. Double click the home button to show running apps. If Safari is there swipe up so it disappears (turns the app off). Go to settings/safari then roll down the page and touch Clear History and Website Data.
Try running Safari again

Are you saying that Safari is loading and when it loads it shows the last webpage you visited?

Yes that is exactly what is happening .

That's OK. It is one of the normal ways. What do you want to see when it come up. A blank page, search page etc?

That's how I have my safari Wendilla. All the tabs remain open exactly where I left them, holidays half booked, ebay items on the lookout, even this post will be here on the screen if I close safari and open it again tomorrow.

How did you have it before?

Now for the life of me I can't remember I think it would have been the search page .

Press the plus key for a new search page Wendilla.
