I imagine if he was sending his I l*** you texts and you haven't responded in any way (totally understand why - drunken text isn't quite as romantic as you might hope for!!!) perhaps he thinks you don't feel the same - else you'd have responded. Perhaps it would be good to make the first move in this - if it's true then that will be great. If he doesn't feel the same way then at least you know don't you - you can decide whether it is still the right relationship for you!
For my part, my boyfriend (now husband) told me he loved me after we'd been together a couple of weeks - we were at a pub and a band was playing live music - 'Wild Thing' - we were singing along and then when it got to the bit about 'I think I love you' - he turned and sang it to me then said - 'I really do'. AAAHHH, it was so lovely, makes me feel all warm inside just thinking about it! Don't know where the romance has gone now though lol!!
If you mean it, find the right moment and go with it!
Some guys just aren't soppy and gushy.Mine isnt.He says it by txt all the time, but rarely to my face. When I asked him why he said that he finds some things easier to write than say.But if ever I tell him I love him he always says it back, and with feeling.
If you want to tell him that you love him then tell him,see what he says.xx
My husband first told me he loved me over the phone ~ we had a long distance relationship, had been seeing each other 3 months & at the time thought we would break up due to not being able to cope with it..I wanted to jump down the phone line and give him a big hug & kiss but all I could do is tell him I loved him too!
6 months later we moved in together :o)
