actually worsen eyesight?
I was prescribed glasses last year after enduring months of trying to read the writing on tv screens, or any writing that was a distance from me (street signs etc).
I now find it increasingly difficult to read writing that may be in the distance (without glasses).
Im sure my eye sight wasnt that bad b4 glasses.
Can wearing glasses make your eyesight "lazy"
Thanks.
I have worn reading glasses for years, but since wearing glasses for distance, I no longer need reading glasses, so I am fairly certain that glasses can change your eyesight.
as sandyRoe says, eyesight - close-up and distance - just deteriorates with age; hard to say whether it would have done so if you hadn't been wearing glasses.
Your eyes are probably just still changing the same way before you had specs. Wearing glasses does it make your eyes get worse.
1. You found your distance vision was getting worse.
2. You got specs to see better.
3. Your eyes have possibly changed only slightly more than they had initially due to time.
4. Your distance vision without specs is slightly worse but noticeable.
Have you considered lazer eye surgery? I struggled with glasses for years and could never get used to them.
The cost of the surgery was the best cash I ever spent.
