I was fitting an electric pump in a pond when my brother arrived...

Good....says I.....you can turn it off and on at the plug til I get the flow just right......

And yes......he had to turn it on just as I was leaning over it......

Reminds me when I was at the pit testing the fire fighting pumps which should have kicked in when a hydrant was turned on after carrying out repairs the fitter who was with me sent his apprentice to turn on the nearest off went the lad to the nearest hydrant turned it on and got it full bore at 80psi in the ***.We couldnt believe the dozey lad had stood right in front of the of the outlet as he turned it on.
