Pity some countries are not so protective of their territorial waters when it comes to the illegal incursion of them from African vessels.

And before the usual crew start with their " oh so you would like to see innocent women and children fired upon would you" my answer is no.

This is just an illustration of what some countries will do to protect their territorial waters, 'YET'.....

what on earth does a spat between Gib and Spain have to do with crossing the Med from Libya or Egypt? Nothing at all and it's not as if the immigrants are taking on the Straits - yet. Irrelevant. Mind you, there's better things such as the Eastern Med/Balkans that Spain and the UK could be debating on for a consistent EU policy.
