This will be my third appliance and every one of them leak out of the wee hole at the bottom of fridge bit. I always believed that my other fridges were getting old but this is just one year old. I lifted the carton of vegs etc out from the cabinet and the lower part was swimming with water. I know people will say clean the hole either with a straw etc but it will come back. So I am back to putting a rolled up tea-towel at the hole (to suck the water up) and refresh from time to time. Anybody have this (this seems to be the norm (to me anyway) Or should I do something at the back of the fridge which I can easily get out. Thanks for any help.

A straw will only go so far , if any blockage is lower down it won't reach it.

Can you check that the tray or tank at the back at the bottom which holds the water is not full?

i'll do that mamy tomorrow - off to the CU and just getting ready.
Ok.
use a piece of bendy wire to poke (gently) down the length of the tubing. Once you have poked right out, then I squirt a little diluted milton down the hole to kill off the bugs that block it.
Old fashioned pipe cleaners are good for that. (As in pipes that you smoke)
In craft shops, you can get super long ones that do the job better than the standard intended for pipes type.

Try saying, "Frost Free Fridge Freezer" after a few sherbets!
Use a pipe cleaner.
