I think this is a really stupid move.

The SNP will continue to press until they get independance and then what will we do? Added to that the Scottish seem only to willing to bite the hand that feeds them we should have located this somewhere in the rest of the UK.

if sturgeon & salmond don't want this work for their citizens, fine, the MOD can re-allocate it to Portsmouth or Plymouth. they're always complaining that conservative immigration policy is starving scottish business of resources, so taking the faslane work away represents a 6500 person head-start. win-win situation for everybody. :-)
