I am staying one night in Edinburgh. Can anyone recommend any traditional pubs, bars etc.? Thanks.

I can recommend the haggis, neeps and tatties (together with the beer and the atmosphere) in the Wetherspoon's pub on George Street. It's an impressive building, which was formally a bank, called The Standing Order.

Some good pubs in the Grassmarket area but cannot remember their names!!

i live in edinburgh...the three sisters is fantastic, jekyl&hyde, thw worlds end, george st is fab for pubs and bars, the dome is fantastic too

I agree with bellasasha. You must visit the Jekyl & Hyde. The first time we went there I wanted to use the loo. The place is decked out with bookcases and for the life of me I could not find it. I had to ask this women and she started to tell me wherre they were but stopped and said "here Ill show you". She proceeded to open the bookcase and there they were. For the rest of the night me and my fella sat and watched people going to the loo.
