A few weeks ago I hurt my right index finger lifting sometthing heavy. I thought I must have pulled a little muscle or ligament in it and it hurt for a few days then got better. Anyway, it started really hurting again a few days ago, especially when I bend it. The pain seems to be mainly around the knuckle, and there is a feeling of tightness, similar to how my fingers get when it's humid and retaining water. Any ideas? I'd feel a bit silly going to the doc's complaining of a sore finger! I don't work in an office by the way
same thing happened to me, months later still hurting. At a drs appt he said leave it and it will get better - 5 months on it is almost. so probably yours will be okay too don't expect a quick recovery ;-)
I had this problem a while back. After a while I realised it was caused by the way I was putting my walking boots on! I was putting my index finger down the back of the boot much the same as when using a shoe horn. This caused the knuckle to bend backwards. I now put my boots on in a different fashion and the finger is better. Hope this helps.
