Ipad Locked Up

I went into Accessibility and switched on Voice over, window came up to confirm settings change then it locked up and wouldn't let me click either the Yes or cancel. It was totally locked up so did a reboot but now I cant get into it at all. I get the initial screen showing the time at the top and Slide bit at the bottom, which wont slide but double tapping it will get you to the passcode screen. It seems to take the numbers if you double tap them but wont accept the passcode. I'm totally locked out, please help.

It's ok panic over I have sorted it.
For any one else who has this problem and might stumble upon this thread.
First single tap and let voice over tell you what you've tapped then double tap to get the iPad to take what ever it is. Simple really but it had me pulling my hair out.
