The easiest way is to go purchase a tin of Stagg chilli which is very delicious and come in a few varieties.

My way of cooking chilli (which is pretty easy) - dry fry 1lb minced steak/minced beef and add 1 chopped onion and continue frying for 2 mins until onion soft, mince brown. Add 1 tin chopped tomatos, 1 tin kidney beans (drained) handful of mushrooms (optional) 1 chopped red/green pepper (optional) 1 beef stock cube, large pinch of salt, and chilli powder - 0.5 teaspoon of red chilli powder for mild, about 0.75 for medium, 1-2 teaspoons for hot to flipping hot. Bring to boil, mix well, simmer for at least half an hour (stirring occasionally - must be half an hour allow flavours into the meat) In the last 2 mins of cooking add a large dollop of tomato puree to thicken. serve with a big bag of nacho chips and a bucket of lager. Alternatively you can use fresh red or green chillis for a better taste, but it's all experimental as to how hot you'll get it (which is usually part of the fun!)
sorry forgot to mention - recipe serves 3-4 people
try question 19466 - you can't go wrong really
1. Preheat oven to 125C (fan) or 140C (normal). 2. Finely chop 2 medium onions and fry gently to soften (about 6 minutes) with 2 or 3 crushed cloves of garlic (garlic puree is easiest). 3. Turn heat up high, add 500g mince and brown it and break it up. 4. Reduce heat to medium. Sprinkle in 1 rounded tablespoon plain flour and stir to soak up juices. 5. Gradually add 1 pint water (or part lager (honestly) part water and stir constantly until simmering. 6. Add 2 tablespoons tomato puree, 2 or 3 tins kdney beans (drained and rinsed) and either chopped red chillies with seeds or cayenne pepper to taste (NOT chilli powder). 7. Bring to boil, transfer to casserole and cook for 2 hours. 8. After 1.5 hours, check consistency, and add chopped green pepper if you wish. It's not Rocket Science adjust the quantities as you want. A friend of mine serves "Phili Chilli", which has Philadelphia cheese stirred into it, with boiled potatoes - delicious!!
Meant to say that casserole should have tight fiiting lid or use foil.
1 lb minced beef 1 tin tomatoes half tube tomato paste minced garlic 1 onion finely chopped half red pepper chopped half green pepper chopped chilli powder (mild or hot according to taste) salt and pepper water if necessary Put all ingredients into bowl and mix well. Cover and microwave on high for 20 minutes
oops, forgot the chilli beans
