iv got a vauxhal vectra 2.0 tdi, its done 300,000 miles and it takes a long while to start up, what could be the problem

cats scratching

my cat keeps on scratching on the carpets near the doors to get in is there anything i could buy or try to stop them (like the stop chew spray for dogs?)
