How come sometimes at dusk you can see the moon and the sun in separate places and yet when it gets dark the moon crosses in front of the sun?

ive purchased a new heating element for the tumble dryer(double element ) there are 4 connections and 3 wire red, blue black i cant remember the order they go onto the connections can anyone help one...
