new canary - just need some advice

ive recently bought a canary who seems very happy and sings all day, just a few things - he hasnt touched the cuttlefish is this ok? i clip his bird bath on the cage every day, but he hasnt used that...

it sits upright in the morning but as the day goes on in always ends upside down for the rest of the night can you tell me why
