My sondcard has supposedly stopped working, i cannot use Windows media player although the Microsoft start up sound plys, how do i navigater to device manager and use it to check out the sound card...

I am not very clever at this and need to know what exactly(simply) mp3, wma and other such files are, would prefer to be able to play to play stuff burnt to a cdr or dvd to be able to play on computer...

Further to my previous question,i have now managed to burn video files to a Dvd -R. It will play in my dvd drive on computer but on dvd on tv, when i try it says 'no disc', any help greatly...
