it's a long shot but can i play DVD's

my disc drive is a 'LITEON CD-ROM' LTN486 device type: DVD/CD ROM DRIVES manufacturer: (stanard cd rom drives) location : location 0 (0) can i play DVD's. i did try once but after putting one in it...

when i try and download music to my psp i can only ever fit about 7 songs on it. the the memory stick is 32mb and empty is this all it can take?
