Any reason why, when I put my computer into standby it kicks itself back into life within seconds?

RSS feeds icon

In IE the RSS Feeds icon is greyed out. When I hover it I get 'No feeds detected on this page (Alt+J). Why, and can it be repaired? Also in Firefox it is not there at all !!

I need an update for adobe flash player. However when I try to download my firewall (comodo) tells me Install.exe is trying to install a new file/folder etc. I've googled Install.exe and it seems bad!...

Any ideas why my Internet Options has suddenly stopped working. Its there under Tools and in Control Panel but when clicked I get a mini screen for a millisecond then nothing. Ive booted in safe mode...

freeze

This doesnt happen all the time but every now and then when I try to turn off the computer it freezes. It reaches "windows is shutting down" if Im lucky, then nothing.

I just finished a word document then went onto youtube and hey presto, no sound. I havent downloaded anything and there was sound before I was working in word. Any ideas?
