PC Sound Problem

Vocals sound muffled & are raised by a few octaves very annoying especially when playing cd's. Checked speakers & settings & all seem fine, worked ok this morning. Please help!

Ripping MP3 files

I've got a cd full of mp3's which I can't play on my hifi, how can I convert it to wav files?  I've tried ripping onto media player but it won't list the cd in the rip window.
