Exchanging Hdd

Have two Toshiba laptops, the new one has a bad hdd. Want to put in the one from the other machine. The new laptop is windows 7 and the old one is XP. It's not booting. Do I need to format the xp one...

Help!

I've managed to drop my work laptop and it landed on the side where the power supply goes in. I noticed it was bent so pulled it out and when I went to push it back, saw that the power jack is loose....

My iPad has served me well but this week is suddenly struggling to load some pages. Not all, just some. For instance, this site and FB are fine, but suddenly newspapers are either slow to load or jam...

Cost of running a tower fan?

Can anyone tell me how much it might cost per hour to run a fan on either 1,2 or 3 speed? I've just got one but am worried about how much it will be and if I should maybe ration myself?
