Original Birth Register entries

Does anyone know where I can see the ORIGINAL entries in the Register of Births? My problem is that I and another person have exactly the same (unusual) name on one of our parent's birth certificates....

what are you allowed

i am going on holiday in 4 weeks and flying from manchester to turkey. i have heard rumours about what you are allowed in your hand baggage ie. no food,personal stereos,etc. can some one please advise...
