Old cat new tricks

Our 16 year old moggy has just started wanting a bedtime drink, it started a few weeks ago drinking out of the missus glass. He has to have his own glass now, and looks for it....

Cornflour always turns out lumpy

When I use flour (or cornflour) to thicken up a sauce it always goes lumpy. I sieve it in a stir gently but it always clumps together. Any techniques that I should be doing?

How could one kill themselves? One who does not have access to chemicals, or guns, etc. Are there household or over the counter drugs, etc, that could kill a person quickly, if not instantly?
