hoover smell

Recently while hoovering I have noticed a smell from my hoover, not very pleasent I have emptied it and everything. Has anyone any ideas how I can get rid of the smell.

Daddy-long-legs v spiders!

How come,that I suffer total arachnaphobia,but,can pick up daddy-long-legs,so easily! To a lot of people,they appear similar,and on occasion,I have mistaken,one for the other,if you look quickly!!
