Word Count Problem

My PC is only 3 months old. I write a lot of essays and use the word count to keep within my limits. Over the past couple of weeks, when I highlight an essay, it often comes to a stop before the end....

How do I open a pdf file in Word?

As part of my course, I have a DVD/CD. I like to print off the transcripts rather than listening to it all on line. But all the files are pdf and I cannot work out how to get them into Word.

Kids watching TV

I dont let my grandchildren watch TV if they are lying on the floor. I always thought you had to be on eye level with the screen, therefore they have to sit on chairs. Am I medically correct?
