goldfinches

where is the best location for feeders for these finches? i have tried various locations in my garden but no luck. there are numerous of these finches , but hey dont stop here.

Sparrowhawks

We have a sparrowhawk visiting our garden at present which is slowly picking off the bird population. Is it possible to deter it from these activities?
