The slang term semi lobon of semi lob on! Ok I know what it means, but where does this saying come from! What is a lobon / lob on? Can't find the origin of this saying anywhere!

Now That's what I call Music 3D text cover design

Does anyone know what software was used to design these covers? I need to create decent looking 3D text and the text on the now albums is the best I've seen Thanks
