cant burn cd's anymore?

everytime i try to burn a cd.a screen pops up and tells me to insert a blank cd,but there all blank that ive tried.could burn cd's a few weeks ago,but not anymore.what is wrong.thanks for any answers.

i suffered a rugby injury 13 yrs ago.never got any type of compensation.would i be able to now or is it way to late.thanks for any replies.
