Best software for copying Mpeg/Jpegs to CD-Rs?

Can somebody recommend a (prefererably free!) software, easy to use, to copy down my mpeg and jpegs to cd-rs?  I have used Nero and Windows but for some reason the mpeg movies don't copy over...
