Burnt pan!

I'm sure this has come up before but don't remember the answer. I have foolishly burnt a saucepan (not non-stick) - forgot to turn flame down - now bottom of pan is black. Have soaked and scrubbed...

pests in the loft

We've got something up in the loft. a few droppings - about the size of sunflower seeds - so not mice, is it likely to be squirrels. Can't imagine a rat shinning up a drainpipe. No signs of anything...
