Tax disc placement on cars?

Can anybody tell me if you must have your tax disc showing on the front windscreen of your car or can you place it anywhere as long as its on view?(ie on the front sde quarter light).

PC will not shut down ???

When My PC is shutting down it says it is saving any settings i have done etc. Then it says it is shutting down , But it does not. I end up having to turn it off at the wall plug to switch it off.....
