Putting Numbers on my Mobile

When I add people to my mobile telephone book, I am asked whether I want to save to SIM. Does this mean the number doesn't go in the memory of the SIM card?

AOL Silver so slow zzzzzz

I have four phones in the house, all with filters. Why does Broadband take so long to load ?? Once loaded, it seems fine, it's just the opening up.
