exe. file problems

every time I download programs off the net like iTunes and morpheus (to name a few), when i go to install them it keeps saying that the main exe. file of the program could not be installed. Whats goin...

cabinet file.

what does it mean if an error message comes up saying corrupted cabinet file?. Is there a way to fix it?
