Good fun and a clever grid - I have sorted the 10 letter one but the 11 letter one seems to have 3 possibilities for the highlighting none of which seems to me to be "roughly appropriate"

Almost there - I have the character and only 17d and the intersecting unclued entry to find. Is the A of 23 in 17d? I thought CREEDS for 17d but can't fit that in....

My touchpad (e machines (made by ACER I think)) and the two left and right click buttons have suddenly stopped working. Mouse is still OK - any ideas? Thanks...

An interesting puzzle, good not to be looking for misprints for a change. I thought the bit in the preamble about alphabetical order served to confuse things rather than help.
