Good Day Everyone!

These rules: http://www.theanswerb.../Question1006509.html

Still apply. It seemed to work last weekend although you may blame the sunshine (moonlight, boogie etc) for the reasonably quiet friday night...

Remember, be naughty this weekend and you'll be suspended.

The process from then on:

* Reviewed on Monday by editorial team
* Results in:
1>> 1 week suspension if the suspension was correct
2>> Reinstatement for those suspended "in error"
* Returning with another name during a suspension will see you excluded.
* Users will be reinstated the following Monday all going well.

Apologies to the majority of users who are, naturally, excellent to each other.

Also: Please, if you have any more suggestions for this: http://www.theanswerb.../Question1005647.html please air them soon!

it's like any club or forum. you know the rules, you break them, you're a gonner. simple. no arguments, no special cases.
it would be interesting to see how those who continually complain about the moderation here would behave if they themselves were moderators.
it makes no difference if you agree or disagree with a moderators decision, you have to abide by it or leave. personally i have no problem with that and neither, i would guess, do the majority of posters on AB. it's always the vocal few who kick up a stink.
Fair point ron, and worth remembering that it's the Eds who have the final say - as he says in the OP, if anyone gets suspended in error by an over-keen mod, they'll be reinstated. The Ed team reviews everything on Mondays.

Pasta, I don't agree with you - Doc has been warned several times before.

Are you seriously suggesting that there is a group of users a super group if you will that have enough power to convince users to get themselves suspended?

If you read my post helen-you would have noticed I'd said this was not really about doc.
TBH-I think it's so dead on here, that docs ramblings keep it looking lively.
And-no-there is not a 'super group'...I didn't suggest anyone had "enough power to convince users to get themselves suspended?"...only that enough could report-thereby getting a user suspended. And folk seem to be getting suspended for way less than spamming.

The Ed has said it doesn't matter how many times something gets reported. He'll view the reports and the posts in question and make a decision. I'm sure he'll be able to spot any malicious reporting by a group of friends!!!
koode and kn0bby have been suspended/banned this weekend :-)

even the saintly ummmm has been suspended trigger - AND?
-- answer removed --
who was the user that got suspended because he started spamming, as a protest to docs threads?

what colour socks are you wearing today?
-- answer removed --
I was by no means having a pop at ummmm red.......see...this is where things are read wrongly.
If ummmm thinks I was having a pop-I apologise.
doc... made a statement last night, some agreed with him, some did not, no point in going round in circles about it .
Pasta, it did come across as a snide comment about "the saintly ummm" - but this is exactly what we've been saying, you didn't mean it like that, but this is how it gets received. People are very prickly at the moment, it's like we are all looking over our shoulders.
box..........why do you think people are prickly at the moment ?
I don't know, anne - I just get the feeling (particularly on threads like this) that people are touchy. Partly perhaps with the suspensions, and I see at least one answer has been pulled from this thread too.
Have 'people-who-should-know-better' been contravening site-rules, again ?

And I'm supposed to be all offended for them because they have been sent to the naughty-step for a while to reflect of their actions ?
