Morning,

I wondered if we could take a moment to talk about the way you use AB.

I've seen people post a few times that they wouldn't send their friends to AB because they've been using it fairly anonymously for years and, as such, have divulged things they wouldn't share with others in their life necessarily.

So, I wondered, in what circumstance would you introduce a friend to The AnswerBank?

And equally, why wouldn't you? What could we do to ensure that you could use the site as you want AND invite your friends to join in when they need a helping hand (or wish to be helpful)?

Thanks everyone, hope we like the new logo!

I know what you mean. Small minded people sometimes.
I would introduce a friend to AB,to be able to ask questions and join in debates.
However I would warn them to be very careful, not to get involved with the self-
styled hierachy on here.
Once "sucked in" to a thread with them, whatever comments you offer, will be looked upon with contempt,by a certain element, who consider CB to be their
own personal forum.
I enjoy reading those threads, without necessarily joining in Grandad.
ooooooooooooooh dg..............not talking "clique" here are we?
Mum, behave!
:-(
I agree dido, that is the personal choice of the individual.
But if you do render an opinion, beware !
I like the anonymity. I can't be judged that way, only my persona can.
I think I'd find it embarrassing to appear to enthuse about a social type site anyway. But the idea of someone I know trying to spot me among everyone else is something to be avoided. I suspect I'd be too easy to spot by those who know me as it is. So there is nothing you could do to get me to recommend. IMO your best bet is to try to get those who happen to stumble onto the site, to stick around.
Hi craft, how perceptive of you !
I don't think I know enough to offer an opinion on that stuff.
PS Anyone want to adopt me?
You should be so lucky..............I left you in the supermarket 3 times but someone always brought you back.
That must be why my education is so lacking!
Thats the problem with Booths - too upmarket to adopt stray children.

Should have tried Brennands.....
Fancy you leaving me there. I was 16
You're not wrong DT
It was your father's fault..........
Did I have a father. I thought it was summat to do with gooseberry bushes
Also that is what David Starkey said of Kendal Grammar......
Don't get me started on him, ooh, he wasn't my father was he???
Ask your mother.
