"Back Arrow" Issues
114 Answers
Morning,
We're working on a resolution to the problem which sees IE9 users unable to click back to previous pages.
The bug is one in IE9 - it considers each ad on the page to be a separate page (the way we show ads is normal industry standard, we're not doing anything odd here.)
A simple solution is to switch to FireFox and update to the latest version. A quick how to can be found here: http://www.theanswerb...our-internet-browser/
Some have suggested there is an issue in other browsers, if you've had an issue similar to this, please inform us of the browser version below. I've yet to be able to replicate any of these issues in other browsers.
There was a post last night suggesting it was a security concern regarding the issue. This is not true, the post was alarmist and misinformed. It has since been removed to avoid confusion.
Please direct others who are talking about this subject to this thread.
Thanks in advance,
Ed.

Good afternoon Ed.....Everything I do on my computer only involves a single click because that's the way I have programmed my rodent.
I have tested the 'cheeky hack' which you have introduced and it is working on IE, but there is still a long way to go for a real solution to the problem. Fortunately, I now have Firefox 8 as the default Browser on my Desktop Comp and everything is OK; however I can't say the same for FF 7.0.1 which is still on my Laptop.
Perhaps everyone should be on FF8; although Google Chrome seems to work but I don't like it as a browser.

Good suggestion jno.
Nevertheless, I would have thought the Ed would have made some further comment on this issue.
Incidentally jno, it's because of a previous posting of yours that I up-dated to Firefox 8 and am no longer experiencing difficulties on my desktop computer, Guess, I'll have to do likewise with my Laptop and up-date from FF 7.0.1.
I still think it is an Internal Server Error and am yet to have my thought disputed.

Hi aog...Silence sometimes speaks for itself.....No known answer.!!
Perhaps therefore I am on the right track by suggesting that it is a Server Error. Incidentally, I understand that AB's Server is based in the USA.
In the meanwhile folk are trying all sorts of things to go back, even just a single page and, possibly, unnecessarily updating Browsers etc. Furthermore, whilst the Ed is keeping quiet, so are all the top notch Tech guys in AB.

Come on, Ed, Chuck, Buenchico, Albags, etc, (Uncle Tom Cobley and all) say something. I don't mind being told that I am off course on matters. I would like this issue to be resolved, not for myself, but for other ABers who do not wish to change or update their Browsers and are fed-up with having to try all sorts of actions to go back even a single page in AB, when they do not have the same problem on other sites.

Ron ....
It's AB not you ...I have Firefox 7 .I wouldn't have a clue how to update to Firefox 8 or whatever it is .I need my child to guide me through it.
I'll refer you to my post here . It must have something to do with the ads otherwise I couldn't have found my way round it and I am the worlds worst computer dunce :)
