Morning,

We're working on a resolution to the problem which sees IE9 users unable to click back to previous pages.

The bug is one in IE9 - it considers each ad on the page to be a separate page (the way we show ads is normal industry standard, we're not doing anything odd here.)

A simple solution is to switch to FireFox and update to the latest version. A quick how to can be found here: http://www.theanswerb...our-internet-browser/

Some have suggested there is an issue in other browsers, if you've had an issue similar to this, please inform us of the browser version below. I've yet to be able to replicate any of these issues in other browsers.

There was a post last night suggesting it was a security concern regarding the issue. This is not true, the post was alarmist and misinformed. It has since been removed to avoid confusion.

Please direct others who are talking about this subject to this thread.

Thanks in advance,

Ed.

Hi Ron
Precisely ... I don't see why people should have to change from this to that when it's pretty obvious the fault lies with AB .
I know they rely on advertising to keep the site going and have often done a click here and there to further this but the avatar problems lately and the back button issue have become very annoying to some users .
I have no objection to ads but when it leads to to buggering things up for the user and all you get is ..try this ..try that...then one has to take action :)
Hope you and Viv are both keeping well and slowcooking away merrily
Shaney xx
Hi again shaney...Viv and I are ok despite our old ages. Our slow cooker is continually in use and I am thinking that perhaps the Ed has reached the stage where he should turn his off and present us with a meal that will satisfy everyone.☺☺☺

Ron.
Lol......nice talking to you again Ron ..keep trucking darling .Old age is slowly creeping up around here too xxx

Viv & Ron.
I am now off to bed but feel sure that there are AB members in the USA who are still wide awake and may agree with me that the time has now come for the Ed to take the pot off the back burner.

Ron.
Come on Ed, what will it take to get some answers to the two problems?

'Back arrow' and 'Avatars'
Perhaps the Ed has (as I sometimes do) forgotten to 'subscribe' to his thread and is therefore no longer appreciative of the position which prevails.

Ron
Ed, The start of yet another week, and still the 'Back Arrow' problem is not solved.

Please Ed, tell it straight, will we ever get it back again?
I don't know if it's true, but I have heard another rumour that the Ed has written to Father Christmas to see if he can sort out the problem as a present to us.

Ron.
I really don't know what further to say; So I'll leave it to Leapy Lee.

Ron.

Don't tell me that we have another problem of trying to put a YouTube clip into AB.!!!

I was hoping for folk to see the Disney Cartoon with Leapy Lee singing 'Little Arrows'

Ron..

Thanks factor30. It was the only song-hit for Leapy Lee way back in the 60s

There must be a fault with the Disney Cartoon clip which I tried to thread.

Ron.
Another day,
Without a say;
From the Editor of AB.

Is he saying nix,
Whilst trying to fix:
A problem to you and me.!!??

Ron.
