As ABers so like to say Happy Birthday to each other, why not do on here what they do on another site I know. You can put your birthday in your profile and at the bottom of the site each day you can see names of all the people who have birthdays on that day. It is nice to know who you are sharing a birthday with.

That could be optional Rowan. Some of us are past caring. In fact I tell people often how old I am as I love it when they say - Oh you dont look it.

With the system that we have, there seems to be no shortage of methods to transmit the birthdays.

I also agree with rowan.......as long as it doesn't show......date of birth.

Can't see the point in adding to the profile.

Sqad. You are right that some people do know each other's birthdays, but there are other people who do not get a greeting because nobody knows. I just thought it would be nice to see who has a birthday each day. It would be completely optional.

I am suggesting, if Ab Editor thinks it is possible, optional to give birthday and optional to also give year, so on the screen it will say happy birthday today to Vivandorron (42) Sqad (with no age shown) etc. However, I dont think Sqad will want even the day shown as it is not very professional on ward rounds if people keep stopping him to say Happy Birthday.
